I didn't get to meet with my florist this morning as planned. She called us yesterday and is suffering from a nasty case of bronchitis, AND a sinus infection so needless to say, she's not exactly up to planning bouquets and centerpieces.
Feel better Rebecca!!
Since we have another few weeks before we can meet with her, I decided to use this time to gather some more inspiration for the flowers and centerpieces.
Here are a few of the ideas that I've gathered so far - what do you think?
I really like how "fluffy" this bouquet looks...I would probably get it in all white though.
The only part of this that I DON'T like is the way the stems are wrapped...a little too "bling" for me.
I reeeeaaallly like this one! Looks so soft and elegant. I also love that it blends my black and white color scheme!
I do not like the bouquet to the left, but the one is the right is really pretty, simple, and elegant!
So these are some of the ideas I have so far, but I am open to suggestions! I LOVE peonies, but unfortunately, they are not in season is September...and I can only imagine how much they would cost then!
I'm sure Rebecca will have some suggestions and will completely WOW me with what she comes up with!
I haven't given too much thought for the bridesmaids yet, but I really just love smaller bunches of anemones like these, just a little smaller.
This one looks like it's for a bride, so I would probably just scale it down a bit.
Love these - minus those black berry things...
As you can see, I'm not really lacking ideas for the bouquets, but I am struggling with the centerpieces.
Any ideas that I have seen contain candles, and unfortunately, we aren't allowed to have those on the Gateway Clipper. I have very few ideas, and honestly, most of the ones I've seen are nothing to write home about. It seems that every centerpiece picture out there has some kind of candle in it, and if you take them away, it would look like it was missing something. Because, well, there is. Know what I mean?
Does anyone have ideas for centerpieces that don't contain candles?? I'm open to suggestions!!

I have also been looking at anemones for my wedding bouquets (black, white, and pale yellow are my colors). I am having a difficult time finding centerpieces that I like too. If you want light from a candle you can get the flameless tealights. One idea I had was to use the gem vase fillers and put a flameless tealight in the bottom. The light will flicker through the gems.
